How to set up random teleportation with DyRTP

Set up random teleportation with DyRTP

DyRTP provides random teleportation for Minecraft servers. Configure the worlds you want players to explore before making teleportation available to everyone.

1. Download a compatible release

Open DyRTP and choose your Minecraft version and platform. Check the release compatibility and notes for your exact setup. Listed server platforms include Bukkit, Spigot, Paper and Purpur.

Use the Java runtime required by your server. Java 17 bytecode compatibility describes the plugin and does not replace the server's own Java requirements.

2. Install safely

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Back up your world and the complete plugins/DyRTP folder if upgrading.
  3. Put the selected DyRTP JAR in plugins. Remove the previous DyRTP JAR when upgrading.
  4. Start the server and check the startup log.

Keep existing profiles and translations during upgrades. Review the release notes before changing an established configuration.

3. Configure and test your worlds

Review the generated configuration and configure each world you intend to offer. Join the server and use /dyrtp to start a search. Test as a regular player as well as an administrator, and confirm that the intended worlds are available.

DyClaim protection hooks and Vault economy integration are optional. If you enable an integration, install and configure its dependencies and test the result before opening it to players.
